Utopian Yoga is a synthesis of yoga based disciplines that builds on foundation principles. These foundation principles are where the journey begins, to give you the best start or to build on your current practice. With Utopian Yoga, I will support you in your yoga pratice no matter what stage you are at in the journey.


With The Club you will have completed the basics course and so you will have access to the library any time for your own self-paced practice. Also, I will lead you through a weekly online class that I have curated based on a lifetime of experience including yoga, pilates, feldenkrais, qi gong, body work and education.

“Hello. I’m Jane.”

During the past 43 years, I have walked the yoga path.

On that journey I have had the support of great yoga teachers.

It has been developed by well-known Dunedin yoga teacher, Jane Gillespie, after a lifetime of learning and teaching and researching the connection between the mind and body.

It combines aspects of mindfulness, movement, breathing, balance, strengthening, focus and relaxation to facilitate reprogramming and realignment. Its edge is an efficient and achievable synthesis of these elements. As that synthesis evolves movement becomes increasingly graceful, attractive and connected and problems diminish. 

By practicing Utopian Yoga you can expect a higher quality of life through improved mobility balance and strength. You will begin to move with more awareness, feel calmer and have improved motor coordination.
